Beta-1,3/1,6 D-Glucan (Beta-Glucans) is a bioactive carbohydrate derived from the cell wall of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, commonly known as Bakers yeast. Scientific studies have shown that Beta-1,3/1,6 D-Glucan supports a healthy immune system through its ability to maintain and mudulate several aspects of immune function, including macrophage activity and immunoglobulin production. NOW Xtra Strength Beta-Glucans also contains ImmunEnhancer , a proprietary extract of Larch Arabinogalactan. Larch Arabinogalactan is known to aid in the support of healthy NK Cell activity in response to environmental stressors. This exceptional combination of immune supporting ingredients helps to fortify a healthy immune response seasonally and throughout the year.
